Medizinische Indikation:
Bei medizinischen Indikationen (u.a. nach einer Chemo-Therapie, als abschließende Maßnahme nach einem Brustaufbau oder Brand- und Unfallverletzungen) werden die Kosten für die entsprechenden Wiederherstellungsmaßnahmen häufig von dem Kostenträger (Krankenkasse/Versicherung) übernommen. Voraussetzung dafür ist die Vorlage eines Kostenvoranschlages und eine ärztliche Bescheinigung über die medizinische Notwendigkeit und die Überwachung des behandelnden Arztes.

Die Narbenkorrektur nach Schönheitsoperationen ist eine reine Privatleistung. In wenigen Fällen besteht eine Kostenübernahme seitens der Krankenkasse, wenn es sich um eine medizinisch notwendige Brustverkleinerung, aufgrund erheblicher, gesundheitlicher Einschränkungen, handelt.
Wie lange die Pigmentierung hält, hängt von dem jeweiligen Hauttyp und der Hautbeschaffenheit ab. Ein Kontrolltermin in ca. 4-5 Jahren wird empfohlen.
